How do I save a place from Instagram?
From the reel, tap Share and pick Spillo. We recognize the place from the audio or the caption and propose it: one tap and it is saved. It also works with links from Google Maps, Apple Maps, Safari, and with screenshots.
Do you keep my videos or screenshots?
No. The audio of a reel and the images you share so we can recognize a place are read and deleted within the same request: what remains is the extracted text, shown as the quote under the suggestion.
What about photos I upload to a place?
Those we keep, and they are public: anyone looking at that place sees them. They stay until you remove them — from the place sheet, with a long press — or until you delete your account, and in both cases the file is really erased. They pass an automated filter before appearing, and anyone can report them: a reported photo is hidden at once and reviewed. You can also block whoever uploaded it and never see their photos again.
The proposed place is wrong
Choose “None of these” and the proposal goes away. If the place is right but the category is not, you can fix it from the place page: your correction always wins.
Can I export my data?
Yes, for free: from Profile, as GeoJSON or CSV. Export is also offered before resetting the map or deleting your account.
How do I delete my account?
Profile → Delete account. It removes everything: sign-in, saved places, captures. It cannot be undone, which is why we offer the export first.
