Who provides the service
Spillo is provided by Nicolò Cardozo, sole proprietorship “CARDOZO NICOLO'”, VAT no. IT14708130969, registered office at via John Fitzgerald Kennedy 9, 20030 Senago (MI), Italy. Contact: support@spilloapp.com.
The service
Spillo lets you save places you want to try and find them again when you are out. The service is provided “as is”: we do our best to make it work, but we cannot guarantee that recognizing a place from a link or an image is always correct: double-check before heading out.
Your account
You sign in with your e-mail. You must be at least 14 years old. You are responsible for what you save and upload; you can delete your account at any time from the app, together with all your data.
Free plan and Premium
The free plan holds up to 100 places on the map. Captures are free for everyone, with a monthly cap meant for personal use and shown in the app.
Premium removes the place limit and includes everything we add next, at no extra cost. It is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription, at the price shown in the store at the time of purchase, and renews automatically until you cancel it from your App Store or Google Play settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is handled by Apple or Google; refunds follow your store's rules too. If we change prices, the change applies to later renewals and we will tell you according to the store's rules.
Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription: cancel it from the store.
Fair use
Do not use Spillo for unlawful activities, to overload the service, or to extract data in automated ways. Captures and searches are rate-limited for personal use. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; where possible we warn you first and let you export your places.
Photos you upload
Photos you add to a place are public: anyone looking at that place sees them. Upload only images of the place itself, and only ones you have the rights to. No identifiable people without their consent, and nothing offensive, illegal, sexually explicit or off-topic.
Every photo passes an automated filter before appearing, and anyone can report it from the place sheet: a report hides it immediately and sends it for review, which we complete within 24 hours. You can also block another user and never see their photos again. We remove content that breaks these rules and may suspend anyone who repeatedly breaks them.
The photos remain yours. By uploading them you give us permission to show them inside Spillo to other users, for as long as you choose to keep them: delete them, or delete your account, and they are erased.
Shared maps
You can share your map with a link: whoever opens it sees every place you saved and did not hide, with status and rating, updated with every save, until you turn the map off. Notes are never included. By turning it on you state that you want this, and you can turn it off at any time from the app.
The map title and your username are your text, and they are public: no links, nothing offensive or illegal, no names that imitate other people, brands or Spillo. Anyone can report a map, from the web page or the app, by writing to report@spilloapp.com: at the third report the map turns itself off pending review, and we remove those that break these rules. A username that breaks them is removed after we review it, and does not become available again.
Place data
Place information comes from Google Maps. It may be incomplete or change over time: opening hours and closures deserve a check on site. By using Spillo you also accept the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The app, the website and the Spillo brand are ours. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the app under these terms. What you save and upload remains yours.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law we are not liable for indirect damages or for decisions you make based on the data shown: a wrong opening time, a closed place, a wrong match. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants to consumers.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, disputes go before the courts of the place where you live, as the law provides.
Changes and contact
If these terms change materially we will say so in the app. The current version always lives on this page. For any question: support@spilloapp.com.
